Even if the product the company sells may be of decent quality, the website itself does not look legitimate. Judging by appearances, most of the content on the site seems to have been generated by artificial intelligence.
For example, take a look at these three photos. In the background, there are bookshelves. On the bottom shelf in the left corner, the set of objects changes in every shot! This kind of inconsistency is typical of most generative AI.
Additionally, one of the videos on the Solys brand’s website shows a clear sign that it was generated using AI. Look closely at how the woman flips through the pages of a book, and everything becomes obvious.
But what if Solys is using AI simply to save money?
This is indeed possible, and while it may be annoying and reduce customer trust, there is nothing illegal about it. Another factor that may discourage potential buyers is the age of the website. It was registered only about a month ago!
Moreover, the site runs on Shopify, which means there is a high likelihood that this is a dropshipping operation. This suggests that someone may be trying to sell you a product at a much higher price than what it can be purchased for elsewhere, for example, directly from China.
